Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started as an artist?
As a first-generation immigrant from Lebanon born in Canada, I grew up in low-income welfare housing in a challenging area of West Ottawa, Ontario. From a young age, I discovered my talent for freestyling and began honing my skills. Over time, my passion for music led me to explore diss tracks, and by mid-2024, I had started distributing my own music. Presave link
What inspires your work? Are there specific themes or subjects you’re drawn to?
“Inspired by xxxtentacion,Tupac and drawn to themes of expressing emotions about the state or life or system we live in”
Can you walk us through your typical creative process?
“I usually discover different sounds and find one that fits the situation or emotion I'm trying to explain or present. Usually I either freestyle, but depending on the energy I think and write things out strategically“
What are some challenges you face as an artist, and how do you overcome them?
“Some challenges I face as an artist is judgement of my craft. I make different genres of rap and even other music genres rarely so typically music can tend to be shown to the wrong audience leading in feedback about where the direction of my music should go. Other challenges I face is trying to keep up with making projects, I focus alot of time into my art for the simple reasons that... many other artists use beats from YouTube, while I try to create my own sound specifically for the way I'm feeling or what I'm trying to convey as a message“
What do you find most rewarding about being an artist?
“This has helped with the progression of my music by finding more knowledge about melodies, beat patterns how to utilize them more efficiently which is worth the extra effort.”
